South Kalimantan Loksado Travel Festival 2019

The 2019 Loksado Festival is held again presenting local culture and wisdom. The participants who take part in the festival will join a series of two-day activities on September, 6th – 8th, 2019, held in Pejalin Village, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency (HSS).

 

Those activities include tree planting, fun trekking to the Haratai Waterfall, traditional game of chopsticks and “batungkau” as well as watching local traditional dances in Loksado. The participants will also watch many traditional art performances and to feel the sensation of rafting by using a bamboo raft or better known as “bamboo rafting”.

The Loksado Festival is one of South Kalimantan’s government effort to promote tourism including the regional culture and increase the quality of life of local people living around the tourist sites.

 

The Loksado event which is also part of 2019 Indonesia’s 100 Calender of Events become a positive media to increase the nation unity while at the same time introducing the Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency (HSS) as a potential tourists area.

Loksado Travel Festival participants come from various regions. They involve and enjoy the local cultural performance such as dances, typical Loksado food as well as visiting various interesting spots such as Haratai Waterfall, Malaris Hall and many more.
