This program takes place in a small village in the heart of Java and was created with the family of one of our Javanese consultant. The concept of this program is to live a local experience, join in the daily activities and to discover the atmosphere of a typical Indonesian village. Day 1: Airport - Cibeureum Village - Local House
Upon your arrival at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, your guide and driver will pick you up for your transfer to the Cibeureum Village located in Bogor. It is an authentic village, located on a small hill with clean fresh air (take a sweater). You will settle in a very simple local house and will then share time with your hosts and can also join the activities if you wish. In the evening, your hosts will prepare dinner in their traditional kitchen and light a bonfire in front of the house to enjoy your meal while chatting in the heat of the fire. You will live an unforgettable experience.
Note: The local house is very simple, but clean. No hot water.
Day 2: Discovery of the Village - Visit of Coffee Plantations - Coffee Production - Local House
This morning you will visit the rice fields and learn about the techniques of planting, harvesting and plowing rice fields using cows and buffaloes (traditional technique). In the afternoon, go on a walk with your hosts and your guide through the village, go out to meet the inhabitants of the village and visit the coffee plantations. If you’re lucky, you can help farmers pick coffee. Your host will then show you the coffee making process. Then enjoy your own coffee while watching the beautiful scenery, the millions of stars in the sky and the city lights (if time permits).
Day 3: Feed the Animals - Visit the Knife Making - Sundanese Cake "Dodol" - Local House
This morning you are going to get the herbs with your host to feed the animals. Around 10 am, you will go to the cutler’s house to watch the knife making. In the afternoon, go home to make the traditional Sundanese Cake, called “Dodol”.
Day 4: Departure
In the morning, free time in the village. After breakfast, you will leave for your next destination.
