Explore Siberut Primitive Tribe

Day 1: Tuesday, Padang - Siberut - Bat Obai/Bat Rorogot

After early breakfast, your driver will pick you up at the hotel/airport and then transfer you to the harbor to catch the fast boat to Muara Siberut. This ferry will stop at Sikabaluan and continue to Siberut. Arrive in Siberut around 13.00 pm  meet with your guide, prepare and report to authority for trekking, continue by local canoe motor in the River.

Stay in Bat Obay/Bat Rorogot (Lunch & Dinner provided)

Day 2: Wednesday - Exploring the Natives Activities in Bat Obai/Rorogot - Butui

Wake up for a bath in the river. After having breakfast explore the daily activities of the Mentawai Native Tribe such as, making loincloth, fishing and making tattoo. Then continue your trip to Butui by local motorize canoe, it will take about 3-4 hours, arrival at Butui Village stay in a  traditional house of your Mentawai host called “Uma”.

Day 3: Thursday, Explore the Natives Activities in Batui

After breakfast, prepare yourself to explore the Native’s Mentawai activities, you will see how the Mentawai make poison arrow for hunting and then  follow them to go hunting in the jungle. After hunting you will see how they make Sago (Main food of Mentawai) and search for Sago worm and then you will see how to make traditional medicine. In the evening you can enjoy traditional dance of Mentawai.

Day 4: Friday, Butui – Muntei

After breakfast, you still have time to enjoy and see the activities of Mentawai and then leave to Muntei Village by traditional motorize canoe. On the way stop at Kulukubuk to visit a waterfall in the forest, you can swim there and then return to the Canoe to continue your trip to Muntei Village, arrival at Muntei Village transfer to a traditional house of Mentawai or to guest house for overnight.

Day 5: Saturday, Muntei - Muara Siberut - Padang

After breakfast free at own leisure or explore the local village by feet at noon transfer to Muara Siberut, to catch fast ferry to Padang. Arrive late afternoon in Padang.

Transfer to your hotel or Airport – End of service.
